Photographer, Painter

Keron Psillas Oliveira is a photographer, author, instructor and mentor, with an extensive background in the print and publishing industry. She grew up in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where she learned the printing and publishing industry first-hand after purchasing the family business.

Keron became a professional photographer in 2006. She teaches photography courses, book making classes, equine photo workshops, and maintains a robust mentoring program for students in the US and abroad. She is the former director of the Art Wolfe Digital Photography Center, and is a longtime assistant to photographic legends Sam Abell and Arthur Meyerson.

Her work has been exhibited extensively, most notably at the Griffin Museum of Photography. Her projects have received international awards, residing in the Rare Book Collections of the Library of Congress, the Getty Museum, and the Michigan State University, among many other esteemed private collections.

Her latest book and exhibition, A Song of Death and Dying, the culmination of 16 years of work in the bloodlands of Eastern Europe, will be released in early 2027, to coincide with the initial exhibition of the same name at the Boca Raton Art Museum. This will be the first exhibition in a five year international tour for A Song of Death and Dying.

  • Here is a sacred space where light, image, and spirit meet. Within the walls of this church, photography becomes more than art – it becomes devotion. Each image is an invitation to encounter God not only in moments of grandeur, but in quiet shadows and the sacred details of everyday life.

Four photography exhibitions are presented annually, showcasing local, regional and international artists.
